~ Classical silhouettes, the use of natural oil & wax finishes & raw brass, along with many hours of hand shaping of neck, body, fingerboard & frets, create a guitar that has all the soul, warmth, comfort & character of a vintage guitar, but with the playability, stability & ergonomics of a contemporary instrument.

~ Finishing the guitar without grain fillers or hard lacquers allows the texture & character of the wood to emerge and age gracefully - working with the idiosyncrasies of the wood rather than attempting to conceal them. The brass tops & hardware are brushed & plated but left uncoated so they will also continue to develop an organic patina over time.

~ Through different wood & hardware choices and subtle differences in hand shaping & finishing, each guitar acquires a distinct individuality, marked by its identifying ‘date of birth’ on the headstock. Pickups are wound individually for each guitar, introducing subtle variations in the sound & ‘feel’ of each instrument.

~ While great care & consideration is given to the distinctive visual appeal & coherent aesthetics of the guitars, comfort, ergonomics & practicality always take precedence. No design decision should ever compromise the function of the instrument.

~ The lack of tone & volume controls allows the delicate signal from the pickups to reach the output unimpeded (literally), and encourages the player to control of the nuances of tone & dynamics through physical contact with the strings - reinforcing the connection between player & sound.
